We need myths, indeed we crave them.

Vast heroic sagas that sweep us away into narratives of which we become a part. They merge into our own history, our own identity - who we are.

When Tolkien wrote Lord Of The Rings, he not only created a seminal genre masterpiece, he also created an entire mythology that some regard as almost real. The value of myth is not if it is true, but what truth does it contain? How does it inform our lives?

I have worked for many years as a fantasy cover artist. But in 2019, I turned my attention to a body of work that would be purely my own expression of that genre - this is my Mythica.
